Truss Plans

The objective of this course is to have a general understanding of truss and rigging, so that all staff (labourers, techs, etc.) can work safely and follow directions in an efficient way. You are not expected to plan out the truss, know the weight ratings, or know the rigging points. 

A truss and rigging plan will always be developed by a manager and/or external rigging contractor. They have been in communication with the venue and have approved guidelines to move forward. 

Each venue would have varying engineering standards based on the room size, roof and beam capabilities. Management and certified contractors will know the appropriate load calculations.
